A quick and easy Crock Pot Chicken Bacon Ranch Tater Tot Casserole with only 7 ingredients that your family will adore for its taste, while you’ll appreciate the time saved! This Chicken Bacon Ranch Tater Tot Casserole is delicious when baked, but it’s convenient to throw it in the crock pot on days you’re busy with after school activities. Coming home to a ready-made meal without having to preheat the oven or wait for the casserole to cook is a real time-saver when cooked in the crockpot. Just plate it up and enjoy!

Crock pot chicken bacon ranch tater tot casserole brings together my top picks: Ranch, Bacon, and Chicken. To save time, opt for pre-shredded rotisserie chicken from the store, but remember to add extra milk or even 1/3 cup of chicken broth. Using raw chicken enhances moisture and deepens the chicken flavor. I usually pair it with a salad and bread if we’re not arriving home starving.

This dish is a beloved family classic, and it’s hard to put into words how delicious it is. It’s rich in cheese flavor, packed with bacon goodness, and includes both protein (chicken) and starch (tater tots) in one satisfying meal.

Instructions:
1. Prepare your Crockpot. To start, grease the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Layer your Ingredients. Pour half the tater tots (half a bag) onto the bottom of the crockpot. Next add the chicken breasts chunks or shredded rotisserie chicken. Then add in the heavy cream. If you’re using rotisserie chicken it is drier since it’s already cooked. Be sure to add 3/4 cup heavy cream.
3. Add Seasonings. Top with ranch seasoning, cubed cream cheese, shredded cheese and bacon.
4. Finish the layers. Lastly, top with the remaining half bag of tator tots.
5. Cook. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3 hours.
6. Garnish. Top with shredded cheese, bacon bits and scallions. Sour cream is a nice topping too.
Subsitutions Suggestions:
Enhance the dish by incorporating frozen mixed veggies for a comforting touch or diced onion for an additional burst of flavor.
For an extra creamy texture, consider mixing in a can of cream of chicken soup.
Add a sliced fresh jalapeño to introduce a spicy kick to the dish.
