It’s an ideal meal for a cozy dinner at home or to impress guests with its delightful taste and inviting presentation.

I adore this meal for its quick and effortless preparation! It’s a favorite among the entire family, and it never fails to bring smiles to the dinner table. The blend of flavors is both comforting and satisfying, making it perfect for busy weeknights when time is of the essence. Plus, with just a handful of ingredients, it’s budget-friendly without compromising on taste. Whether it’s paired with a simple salad or some crusty bread, this dish is sure to become a staple in any household’s recipe repertoire.

Ingredients:
Steak:
- 1 pound flank steak
- 2 tablespoons Organic Spectrum Sesame Oil (divided)
- 3-4 cups broccoli florets
Sauce:
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ½ cup water
- ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon Organic Spectrum Sesame Oil
- ¼ cup (packed) brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or more, to taste
Instructions:
- Prep & Make Sauce. Make sure to get everything ready beforehand, as the actual cooking happens quickly. To prep the steak, trim away any excess fat and slice it thinly across the grain into bite-sized pieces. Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisk them together until well blended.
- Heat the Oil. Pour 1 tablespoon of Organic Spectrum Sesame Oil into a large skillet (here’s my favorite) and heat it over high heat. Allow the pan to warm for a few minutes until the oil begins to shimmer.
- Sauté Broccoli. Add the broccoli and sauté for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring or tossing frequently until it reaches a tender-crisp texture. Once done, transfer it to a plate.
- Cook Beef. Add the remaining tablespoon of Organic Spectrum Sesame Oil to the skillet. Gently place the beef into the pan in a single layer, ensuring it is somewhat spread out, let it cook for a minute without touching it. After that, use cooking tongs to stir or flip the beef, cooking it for an additional minute or so. Since it cooks quickly, be cautious, as it can easily overcook and turn tough. Leaving it slightly rare at this point is ideal.
- Add Broccoli. Add the broccoli to the pan and pour in the sauce. Stir or toss until everything is well-coated and the sauce has thickened, which should take about 1 to 3 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat and serve right away.
- Garnish. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over noodles of your choice.
Equipment for Sesame Broccoli Beef with Noodles:
Top Tips for an easy 30 minute meal
- Cut the broccoli into relatively small florets to ensure they cook quickly and evenly. Generally, one pound of broccoli produces about 3 to 4 cups once it’s been cut into florets.
- Fresh ginger is the ideal choice for this recipe. It adds a rich flavor that truly enhances the dish. Plus, grating it is incredibly simple!
- You can also serve this recipe with rice, but that’s totally optional! ITypically, you’ll measure out 1 cup of uncooked rice to serve four people, but you can always adjust the amount based on your usual preparation. Begin cooking the rice before the beef, ensuring both are ready simultaneously.
