Christmas Caprese Salad

Christmas Caprese Salad is a delightful twist on the classic Italian dish, perfect for adding a festive touch to your holiday table. This vibrant salad showcases the colors of the season with fresh red tomatoes, creamy white mozzarella, and lush green basil leaves. To enhance the festive spirit, you can add a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a touch of sweetness and a sprinkle of sea salt for extra flavor.

Not only is it visually stunning, but it’s also a refreshing and delicious appetizer that will impress your guests with its simplicity and elegance. Serve it as a starter, or pair it with a crusty loaf of bread for a delightful holiday treat.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of halved grape tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of fresh sliced basil
  • 1 Package Mozzarella pearls
  • 1/3 cup of olive oil
  • 1 to 4 cups of balsamic vinegar, adjusting to taste as you go; you might need more or less based on your preference.

The tree mold costs less than $10 and truly enhances the dish! I’m truly enjoying the festive atmosphere created by the holiday decorations and the stoneware serving dishes.

Directions for Christmas Caprese Salad:

  1. Create Mozzarella Trees. Begin by preheating the oven to 350°. Use a tree mold to shape mozzarella trees by pressing a pearl mozzarella ball into each well. Bake for 6-8 minutes at 350°, then allow to cool before gently removing from the mold.
  2. Combine Ingredients. In a bowl, combine sliced grape tomatoes, fresh basil, and the mozzarella trees. Finish by drizzling with olive oil and balsamic dressing.

Watch how to create this delicious salad!

I hope this caprese salad adds a cheerful touch to your holiday table. Whether you’re hosting a grand feast or a cozy gathering, this caprese salad is bound to impress your guests and bring a smile to their faces. Enjoy the celebration!
