Homemade Simmer Pot

This Homemade Simmer Pot Recipe is perfect for creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere in your home. This recipe uses all-natural ingredients, ensuring that your home smells delightful without any harsh chemicals.

Homemade Simmer Pot

Transform your home into a fragrant haven with this signature simmer pot recipe from Williams Sonoma. The delightful blend of rosemary, vanilla, and lemon creates an inviting aroma, and the best part is: it’s NON-TOXIC! This is extremely important to me; as I raise my children at home, I’m constantly looking for ways to reduce the fragrances in our environment.

I believe in creating a safe and healthy space for them, free from artificial scents. That’s why I am always on the hunt for natural alternatives that are not only effective but also gentle on our senses. Using simple, natural ingredients like citrus fruits and spices allows us to enjoy pleasant aromas without worrying about the impact on our family’s well-being. It’s a small change, but it makes a significant difference in ensuring our home remains a sanctuary of comfort and health.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Homemade Simmer Pot:

Instructions:

  • Boil 2-3 cups water on stove. I love to use my glass simmer pot.
  • Add the rosemary, lemon, vanilla extract and whole cloves.
  • Simmer over low heat. Continue to simmer, uncovered, for up to 2 hours. Top off with water as needed. After water has cooled strain & pour into a spray bottle. Use it as a nontoxic room spray!

Feel free to experiment by adding other favorite spices or herbs to personalize your simmer pot. Enjoy the warm, inviting scent that will fill your space!

XO, kRISTEN
