Instructions for Making Easy Back-to-School Wafer Cookie Pencils:
Start by gathering all your ingredients: wafer cookies, white candy melts, pink candy melts, mini chocolate chips, and edible glitter.
1. Prepare Your Workspace. Lay out a sheet of parchment paper on your counter to keep things tidy.
2. Melt the Candy. In separate bowls, melt the white and pink candy melts according to the package instructions.
3. Cut the Cookie. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut one side of the wafer cookie into a point. It’s important to use a sharp knife, as I’ve had a couple of unsuccessful tries with dull knives.
4. Paint the eraser with candy melt. Using a butter knife, spread the melted pink candy melt onto the square end of the wafer cookie. Then, sprinkle the edible glitter on top to make it adhere to the melted pink chocolate.
5. Create the sharp tip and the point of the pencil. Coat the pointed tip of the wafer cookie with white candy melt to make the pencil tip. Then, attach a mini chocolate chip at the end of the white candy melt to complete the tip.
6. Dry Time. Place it on the parchment paper to harden. Allow this to set completely.
7. Share and Enjoy!
